ALL TANGLED UP

Picture sent by Vanessa Laster of Winston-Salem, NC

This poor gull has fishing line around it's legs and beak.  When Ms. Laster tried to cath the bird to free it the gull flew away.  This is a perfect example of what the carelessness of humans can do to it's wildlife.

HOLE IN ONE?

This picutre was taken under the Singer Island bridge in West Palm Beach by David Katz.  Golfers aren't the only ones who dislike when their golfballs are lost in the water.

 SMOKING LIZARD?

Could this be the reason that there are so many cigarette butts littered on our beaches and in our parks?

SWEET SENIOR SAND SIFTER

We received this lovely e-mail and picture from Sand Sifter Joe Belmonte:

I'm attaching a photo of my 89 year old mom who visited last week.  I gave her a shirt, but she said she had to EARN it.  Soooo, I took mom to the beach to fill her bag.  She did get it half filled with plastic and the usual beach trash.  I'm thinking my mom is the oldest Sandsifter.  Now you guys know what I do with all my extra shirts.  I give them to our guests with the one condition that they pick up enough trash to fill one trashbag.
